Modify them, copy them, change them as you like. Those scripts are free.
However, I would appreciate it if you could kindly let me know if you find them useful or not (a thank you is always appreciated… and please report any bugs, or send pciconf -lv | grep vga outputs if you have a graphics card that isn't automatically detected, or other improvements).
These scripts have the sole purpose of facilitating the transition to using a desktop environment on FreeBSD, because yes, it works very well!! And it's very easy!
